Electronics literacy has become essential in the modern world therefore science graduate is expected to have adequate working knowledge of Electronics Technology and dream Digital India. Hence, the undergraduate programme B.Sc. I is started in 1986 and full-fledged Department of Electronics is established in 1988. In short period of time, department has become one of the most fascinating and active department on the college campus. The postgraduate programme M.Sc. (2006), M.Phil. (2005) and Ph. D. (2009) are started. Moreover, the UGC Sponsored Career Oriented Programme (COP) – Repair and Maintenance of Electronics Appliances (RMEA) is also introduced in the department from June 2007.
The faculty members are well qualified, experienced and recognized as Research Guides by PAH Solapur University. The faculty members of department have completed one Major Research Projects and four Minor Research Projects funded by UGC. Moreover, faculty members have published research articles in the reputed National & International journals and also wrote reference & text books. The department pursue fundamentals of electronics by conducting various student-centric activities such as Seminars, Workshops, Guest Lectures, Industrial Visits, Projects, etc. The department has organized Four National Seminars and four State level Workshops. The department has active MoU’s with many reputed Institutes and industries.
The department has well-equipped separate laboratories for UG & PG students with high speed internet & Wi-Fi facility. The UG, PG and research students are exposed to core as well as specialized courses in Electronic such as Analog & Digital Fundamentals, Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, Modern Communication & Networking, etc
