Shankarrao Mohite Mahavidyalaya, Akluj

Shankarrao Mohite Mahavidyalaya, Akluj, formerly known as Arts, Commerce and Science College, Akluj, was established in 1967 by the visionary leader Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Mohite Patil with the noble objective of providing opportunities for higher education to the rural and economically needy sections of society. The college is run by its parent institution, Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Akluj, which has been dedicated to the cause of education and social upliftment. The college was initially started with Arts and Commerce faculties. In response to the growing educational needs of the region, the Science faculty was introduced in 1983.
