Shikshan Prasarak Mandal's :
Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Akluj was founded in 1947 by Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Mohite Patil, a visionary leader, social reformer, and a pioneer of cooperative movement in the area. He firmly believed that political independence that we achieved in 1947 alone would not bring meaningful transformation in the lives of the people unless it was supported by educational empowerment. With this conviction, he established the Mandal with the noble objective of providing quality education to the farmers, laborer’s, and the downtrodden masses of Malshiras Taluka.
In the initial phase, Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Mohite Patil began his mission by establishing Vijay Vidyarthi Vasatigrah (Boys’ Hostel) to provide residential facilities to economically disadvantaged students. Understanding the importance of accessibility to education, he expanded secondary education through various branches under the aegis of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. Anticipating the growing need for English-medium education and higher education institutions in the rural region, he laid the foundation for colleges and institutions offering advanced learning opportunitiesThe vibrant campus offers diverse opportunities to enable growth, memories and life-long learning. With a rich legacy spanning over seven decades, Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Akluj has emerged as a premier educational institution, providing comprehensive education from pre-primary to postgraduate levels, thereby empowering generations of students socially, economically, and intellectually.
At present, the shikshan prasarak Mandal imparts education through its numerous branches across a wide spectrum of disciplines, including Arts, Commerce, Science, Home Science, Teacher Education, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and various skill development and vocational courses, ensuring holistic development and employability of learners.
After Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Mohite Patil, the esteemed responsibility of the presidency was shouldered by Hon’ble Vijaysinh Mohite Patil, former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Due to his extensive responsibilities at the state level, the leadership was later entrusted to Hon’ble Jaysinh Mohite Patil, under whose long and dedicated tenure the Mandal witnessed remarkable growth in terms of quality enhancement, infrastructural expansion, and increased exposure to co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Currently, Hon’ble Sangramsinh Mohite Patil serves as the President of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Akluj. Under his able and dynamic leadership, the Mandal is successfully administering fifty-seven educational branches spread over three districts in Maharashtra, providing inclusive and quality education at all levels. It is a matter of great pride that Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Akluj continues to march steadily towards excellence, upholding its founding values while embracing innovation and progress.
